“Many Opportunities Await You”
Welcome to the Bridgeton Rotary Club.
When you become a member, the local club opens the door to a wide
variety of opportunities as you become part of the world’s leading
international service club.
The opportunity for vocational
service.
Rotary strives to have a wide variety of
good representatives of many vocations in all clubs. Rotarians are
encouraged to serve others through their work, to practice high ethical
standards in all they do, to represent their vocations with honor and to
associate with and learn from people from different vocations in your
community, throughout the nation and the world.
The opportunity for club service.
Rotary provides many
opportunities for sharpening leadership skills and strengthening
fellowship through the administration of an effective functioning club.
In order to carry out Rotary’s mission of local, national and
international service, you have to have a strong Rotary Club.
Opportunities include service on committees, involvement in projects and
filling the other club leadership positions as Board members and
officers.
The opportunity for community
service.
Rotary Club membership opens new doors
for your involvement in meaningful projects and activities of the club
to improve life in its community. Joining with other business and
professional people to do good things for your community is one of the
opportunities that makes membership in Rotary valuable and fulfilling.
Our club serves the community in many ways including support and
involvement in the County Adopt-A-Road Project, Bridgeton Area Food
Banks, Bridgeton Invitational Baseball Tournament, Bridgeton Public
Library, Bridgeton Main Street Association, Career Days / Other
Vocational activities at area high schools, Scholarships to Area High
School Students, the Hug-A-Bear program and many more.
The opportunity for international
service. Through
membership in your local Rotary Club, you gain the opportunity to
support and get involved in Rotary’s humanitarian services and programs
that reach around the globe and that promote world understanding and
peace. Rotary’s International Foundation with contributions from
Rotarians and clubs throughout the world, has provided the financial
resources and volunteers to tackle such projects as Polio Plus, which
lead the way to almost totally eradicating Polio from the world. There
are few organizations in the world that can provide this opportunity for
world service to local club members.
While we are taking advantage of these
opportunities for service, we also have a good time doing so. Our
weekly meetings and other projects and activities are where ideas are
exchanged and friendships are made and strengthened. We look forward to
welcoming you into the exciting, fulfilling and opportunity-filled world
of Rotary.
Respectfully yours,
Gil Walter
